Availability Calendar – Plugin
This is a very simple plugin that displays on which weeks you or your business is available for bookings/events/etc. I developed this plugin specifically for this site, and so it doesn’t have much you can change, but if you need a plug in to do exactly what you see on my Availability page, then this is the plugin for you.
Future Plans:
I’m intend to develop this into a fully fledged plugin, which will include the following:
- Choice of day, week, or month based display (currently only week)
- Add and remove status options (currently limited to only available, booked, part-booked)
- Choice of display duration (currently one year only)
- Choice of which day to start the week on (currently Monday only)

How to Install and Use:
Simply download and un-zip the file below, and move the file ‘bookings.php’ into your Word Press plugins directory, and then activate the ‘Bookings’ plugin from the plugins menu in Word Press. Once you have activated the plugin you will be able to set which weeks you are available by clicking the Booking Settings option at the bottom of the main Settings menu.
To add the bookings calendar to a post or page, simply add [bookings] to the post/page text where you’d like the calendar to appear. You can now also add the tag [next-avail] to insert the next available date in string format, eg: 10th January 2011
Included in the zip file is a readme file and an example css file to help you style your availability calendar.
