Hello, and welcome to me.
Why does this site exist? Mostly because it can (I had the domain sitting dormant, and being a hosting provider webspace is pretty easy to come by).
The main purpose of this site is simply for me to vent my spleen at anyone unfortunate enough to look in this direction. Although hopefully there may be the occasional nugget of worthwhile reading amongst all the crap.
So who the hell is Matt Bearman anyway?
I’m a middle class, 18 – 25 year old, white male, and I try to overcome this inherent averageness by also being a musician/programmer/designer/company director/biker/lover and a whole load of other junk. I live in Ilfracombe, North Devon, which can be colourfully described as “God’s waiting room”.
I have a BSc (hons) degree in the brilliant subject of “Computer Games Development” from Swansea Metropolitan University, and I now have very little to do with computer games.
I own and run a company which deals with all things internet, such as hosting, online applications and website design.
You said something about music…
Well remembered, music is in fact the love of my life, and when I’m not chained to a computer or riding motorbikes I can usually be found playing guitar, piano, drums, singing or trying to learn a new instrument (violin is the current target). I make rock/industrial/electro music under the name Texas Heart Shot (website coming soon) and I play acoustic gigs locally (recordings coming soon).
One last thing, please for the love of God don’t use this blog as an indication of mine or my company’s design skills, I pretty much just smacked my head on the keyboard for an hour to create this layout. If I ever get a day to spare (unlikely) I’ll make a proper custom layout
